The Old-Time Fiddle and Banjo Show

The Old-Time Fiddle and Banjo Show is a loose confederation of pickers and sawyers from several Central Coast bands that come together to play midweek gigs at Pappy McGregors in San Luis Obispo. Members include Amber Cross (guitar), Gary Arcemont (fiddle/banjo), Jerry James (banjo/bass), and Stuart Mason (mandola/guitar). Together they bring many years of experience to the stage, as members of Yo Pitzy Jug Band, Molly’s Revenge, Little Black Train, Rattlesnake Creek, Foggy Bay String Band, and others. They call it old-time music but the repertoire spans Appalachian fiddle tunes, early bluegrass, country blues, and even Irish tunes. Spine-tingling harmonies, singalongs, and a traditional minstrel variety show are regular features of the Old-Time Fiddle and Banjo Show, every Wednesday at Pappy McGregor’s in San Luis Obispo.
